World Food Crisis

cidi logo

It’s being called a “silent tsunami” – the first food crisis since WWII is threatening over 100 million people, including 20 million of the world’s poorest children. Rising prices for staples like rice means that fewer people are getting the food that they need, pushing more people into poverty, and causing violence and instability. Give now to projects that are supporting the poorest households get access to food, planning for sustainable agriculture, and combat food-related diseases and malnutrition.

These projects are promoted through a partnership between GlobalGiving and the Center for International Disaster Information (CIDI). Learn more about CIDI.
